HEST Foamy Short, Regular or Wide: Compare the Sizes
Choose your HEST Foamy by checking two things together: the space you want to sleep on and the space you actually have. A mattress that looks right in a product photo still needs to fit between your tent walls, vehicle wheel wells or other gear.
The three Foamy footprints

The regular adds 14 inches of length over the Short while keeping the same width. The Wide keeps the regular's length and adds 5 inches of width. On our HEST Foamy product page, the regular option is simply labeled “Foamy.”
Choose by your own sleeping space
Consider Short when the 64-inch length suits your needs and your available space. Mark that rectangle on the floor and check your sleeping position, pillow placement and where your feet will rest. Do not choose it solely because it is the smallest option.
Consider regular when you want the longer footprint within a 25-inch-wide space. Check the usable width as well as the length; room for bags beside the mattress may matter in a narrow tent or vehicle.
Consider Wide when the extra width is useful and your setup has room for it. Measure before ordering, particularly if another mattress, a seat, wheel wells or a storage box shares the area.
Measure the real setup, not just its advertised size
- Measure the narrowest usable floor or platform width and length.
- Account for obstructions, sloping walls and the position of doors or seats.
- Mark the chosen mattress footprint with tape and check it with the rest of your gear in place.
- Check packed dimensions and carrying weight on the current product information if storage or transport space is tight.
For vehicle use, a general model name is not a fit guarantee: seating positions, trim and storage layouts can differ. HEST's sizing guide is another useful reference alongside your own measurements.
What the Foamy design changes
The Foamy uses two layers of memory foam and rolls for storage with an integrated compression strap. It does not require a pump or inflation. Consider where you will store the rolled mattress between trips as well as where you will sleep on it.
This guide compares size rather than promising that one option will suit every sleeper. Compare the actual mattress dimensions, current specifications and selected-option price before deciding.
